NNL: Okonkwo appointed Calabar Rovers head coach

Nigeria National League, NNL, side, Calabar Rovers have appointed Christian Okonkwo as their new head coach.

Okonkwo replaced Caleb Esu who recently joined the Nigeria U-20 team as assistant coach.

The newly appointed tactician previously worked as assistant coach at Solution FC of Awka.

“I’m no longer with Solution FC. I’ve moved to Calabar Rovers where I’m now the Head Coach.” Okonkwo told Complete sports.

Okonkwo will work alongside Obinna Achebe who was recently appointed as assistant coach.

The new NNL season will commence on Saturday, 8 November.
