NNL: Crown FC begs Oyo government for support ahead playoff

Published on June 26, 2025 at 08:23 PM

Crown FC Technical Adviser, Ayodeji Ayeni, is soliciting support from the Oyo State Government ahead of the Nigeria National League, NNL Super Eight playoff tournament.

The playoff tournament will determine the teams that will secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL next season.

Oyo State currently has one team, Shooting Stars, in the NPFL.

Ayeni stated that with adequate support, the state could have both teams in the top flight.

“I want to beg and implore the government of Oyo State, If there is a time they need to rally round this team, this is the time. If there is a time, Governor Seyi Makinde needs to break another record for himself. This is the time,”; Ayeni told OyoSportsNews.

The Super Eight playoff tournament will run from July 5 to 12 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
