City FC Chairman, Chidi Okonkwo, says that his team is not ready for the 2025-26 Nigeria National League, NNL, season.
The Abuja-based club gained promotion to the NNL after finishing top of their group in the Nationwide League One, NLO, playoffs.
Okonkwo stated that the team will continue to work hard to be ready for the NNL new season.
“The fact is that City FC still have a long way to go as the team prepares for the NNL season,” Okonkwo told totorinews.
“We will keep on playing top friendly games with strong teams as time goes on.”
City FC held Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Nasarawa United to a 3-3 draw in a friendly match in Abuja on Sunday.
