NNL: Ayeni commends Crown FC players despite promotion setback

Crown FC head coach, Ayodeji Ayeni has commended his players for their performance in the Nigeria National League, NNL, Super 8 playoffs.

The Ajilete Warriors missed out on a promotion ticket after the defeat to Warri Wolves FC in their final group game.

Crown recorded one point from the three matches in the competition.

Ayeni admitted that the qualification for the playoff tournament was tough.

“We started the season with a purpose; which was to qualify for the super 8 and we came here for the ticket to the premier league but that wasn’t achieved,”; Ayeni told Oyo State News.

“Our overall performance has been wonderful, and I want to congratulate everyone who started this journey together from day one. The journey was tough, but we were able to survive the hurdles to this stage.”;
