Justice James Omotosho has prohibited IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu from utilizing digital devices, such as phones and computers, during his life sentence for terrorism.

In delivering the judgment in Kanu’s trial, Justice Omotosho labeled him a terrorist whose actions have caused bloodshed and instability throughout the South-East region.

He stated, “From the evidence I have reviewed, the convict has previously utilized digital devices, including phones, to disseminate messages that incited violence.

“Consequently, I completely concur with the prosecution that he should not be permitted access to any digital device. If access is deemed necessary, it must be strictly monitored by the Office of the National Security Advisor.”

Justice Omotosho further remarked that, due to the severity of Kanu’s actions, the resulting deaths, and the impact on the people of the South-East, he should be placed in protective custody.
