The former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), retired Gen. Christopher Musa, asserts that Nigeria’s security is in capable hands as he officially steps down after 39 years of service.
Musa made this statement during his farewell address at his pulling-out parade on Friday in Abuja.

The retired CDS expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the trust placed in him to lead the Armed Forces and congratulated his successor and other service chiefs, promising his continued support.
He urged members of the Armed Forces to maintain their loyalty, professionalism, and dedication to the unity of the country, emphasizing that the mission to protect Nigeria’s territorial integrity must remain a top priority.
“To the men and women of our Armed Forces, you are the true heroes of this nation. I have witnessed your bravery in the face of challenges, your resilience in the toughest situations, and your unwavering commitment to duty.
“Defeat is temporary, but victory is everlasting. Keep believing in Nigeria. It is a nation worth defending,” Musa remarked.
