Jigawa State governor, Umar Namadi, has said that Nigerians will soon realise the benefits of fuel subsidy removal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
He stated this while speaking at an event organised in his honour by Hadejia residents over the weekend.
According to him: “We have to exercise patience. I am assuring you that the painful reforms carried out by the APC administration will soon yield a positive result.
“President Tinubu has good intentions for Nigeria; as such, he needs the full support of Nigerians to actualise his missions for a better Nigeria.
“What is required from Nigerians is understanding and support. Soon, you will turn out to be the real beneficiaries of the subsidy removals.”
Earlier, the national president of the Harmonised Traders Union, Dr Bature AbdulAziz, urged the governor to come up with a programme that will reduce the rampant migration of youths from the state to the southern part of the country.
