Nigeria Police acquires new modified light tactical vehicles

The Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam on Monday inspected seven Modified Light Tactical Vehicles procured for the Nigeria Police Force, NPF.

The vehicles are meant to enhance and strengthen the operations of the police in securing life and property in the country.

The Minister carried out the inspection along with the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Anuma Ogbonaya Nlia, and top Management of the Ministry at the Federal Secretariat, Phase III, in Abuja.

The Minister stated that the seven Modified Light Tactical Armoured Vehicles were acquired from the budgetary allocation of the Ministry, and they would be handed over to the NPF to enhance their security operations to enable them to perform better.

“They are supposed to use it professionally to combat insecurity in the country,”;; He stressed.

This is coming at time the country faces several security challenges coming from insurgency, banditry, kidnapping amongst others.
