Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has mourned the demise of Aminu Dantata, an elderstatesman, describing his death as a national loss

Bago in a message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, described the deceased as a renowned successful business mogul a philanthropist.

The Governor recalled how the late Alhaji Dantata contributed to the socio-economic growth of Nigeria by empowering many Nigerians.

He also noted that the deceased was among the promoters of an endowment fund under the auspices of Kano State Foundation, which supported educational initiatives and provided grants to small-scale entrepreneurs in Kano.

The Governor maintained that Dantata, who was a former Commissioner for Planning and Development in Kano State between 1967 and 1972, has served humanity diligently and paid his dues both in the public and private sectors.

He noted that the deceased has no doubt written his name in gold, having lived a selfless and fulfilled life by grooming many other successful businessmen.

While commiserating with the Kano State government, the immediate and extended families of the late Aminu Dantata, Bago enjoined them to accept his demise as an act of Allah and be consoled that the deceased was an accomplished man while on earth.

He prayed Allah to forgive all the deceased shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljanna Firdausi, as well as comfort all the bereaved.
