A newlywed bride survived a motorway accident with her husband, only to tragically lose her life moments later when a lorry crashed into them as they exited their wrecked vehicle.
Samara Prado Martins, 24, an architect who had just married a month prior, died at the scene following the horrific double collision on a Brazilian highway.

Samara and her husband, Thiago Oliveira Martins, were returning from the beach when their car overturned onto the hard shoulder near Ponta Grossa, in the southern state of Paraná, at approximately 7:50 AM last Monday.
According to the Federal Highway Police, the couple managed to extricate themselves from the flipped vehicle.
However, just seconds later, they were struck by a lorry traveling along the highway.
Samara was killed instantly.
Thiago sustained critical injuries and was airlifted while intubated to a hospital in Ponta Grossa, where he remains in intensive care.
Family members revealed that the newlyweds were alone in their car at the time of the incident.
Samara’s parents, brother, and sister-in-law were traveling in another vehicle behind them and turned back upon realizing there had been an accident.
The occupants of the lorry were unharmed.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the initial rollover.
Samara, who was originally from Dourados in Mato Grosso do Sul, had recently graduated in architecture and was employed at a local firm.
Friends and colleagues have since flooded social media with tributes and messages of support for Thiago.
Her body was transported to Dourados, where she will be laid to rest.
This incident follows another tragic event where a private helicopter crashed into a canyon just hours before a wedding.
David McCarty, 59, was flying family members in his MD 369FF helicopter through Telegraph Canyon near Superior, Arizona, when disaster struck.
McCarty and his nieces Rachel, 23, and Faith, 21, along with their cousin Katelyn Heideman, 22, all perished in the crash.
The helicopter struck a recreational slackline stretched across the mountains around 11 AM, causing the aircraft to plunge to the canyon floor.
Rescue teams had to trek on foot to reach the remote crash site, arriving at the wreckage around 5 PM.
Authorities stated that all four victims were pronounced dead later that evening.
