She turned to comedy full-time in 2014 and often draws inspiration from her humorous stories about her family and her experiences in the class room.
Mr T, real name Laurence Tureaud, shot to fame as Clubber Lang in Rocky III in 1982 before going on to star as B.A Baracus in The A Team television series the following year.
He began his professional career in 1985 when he famously headlined the first two Wrestlemanias, teaming up with Hulk Hogan to fight Roddy Piper.
As a crucial part of the “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection,” he brought mainstream attention to the sport and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014.
He got married to Phyllis Clark in 1971 before later divorcing. As well as Erica, they also share daughter Lesa Tureaud and son Laurence Tureaud Jr.
In later years, he stepped back from the spotlight and spoke more openly about faith, becoming a born again Christian in recent decades.
He also clung to his faith after surviving a battle with a rare form of T-cell lymphoma in 1995.
The iconic star, now 73, was recently in a rare sighting.
He made an appearance at Reverend Jesse Jackson’s funeral service as he stepped out to pay his respects.
Photos from the service showed him greeting mourners and posing with a visitor during the event on Saturday.
Years later, he’s still leaning into his bold fashion, wearing a stars-and-stripes outfit with an American flag bandana and layered gold chains.
He hid his eyes and kept a pair of black shades, but appeared to chat with fellow mourners.
