Nations League: ‘Yamal has to be calm’ – Ronaldo advises after Portugal beat Spain

Portuguse football king, Cristiano Ronaldo has again warned against the unnecessary pressure being mounted on 17-year-old Lamine Yamal.

Speaking after helping Portugal win the UEFA Nations League on Sunday evening, Ronaldo acknowledged Yamal would grow into a world beater but warned against unnecessary pressure.

Yamal could not help his Spanish side as they fell 5-4 on penalty shootout after the game ended 2-2 at full-time and extra-time.

The 17-year-old Barcelona star has been compared to the very best in the game, including Ronaldo himself and Lionel Messi.

At 17, Yamal has already won the Euros, the domestic league, Copa del Rey and Supercopa and Ronaldo believes he would win more only if he is allowed to focus on the game.

Ronaldo said, “Lamine is going to win a lot of collective and individual titles. He’s a phenomenon.

“He’ll have a long career and he’s going to win a lot of Nations Leagues.

“He’s 17... Please, leave him alone. I have to ask you to let him be. He has to be calm”;.
