Published on June 08, 2025 at 05:16 AM

Captain of the Portugal national football team, Cristiano Ronaldo has compared his eldest son, Cristiano Junior with Spain’s Lamine Yamal.

The former Real Madrid forward said he likes Yamal a lot, adding that the Barcelona star look very much alike with his son.

The 40-year-old stated this ahead of Portugal’s Nations League final against Spain.

“My son and Lamine Yamal look very much alike, their skin colour, their hairstyle.

“They’re three years apart. I like Lamine Yamal a lot, and my son also admires him a lot,”; Ronaldo said (via Madrid Zone).

Ronaldo and Yamal will face each other onSundaynight when their countries clash in the Nations League final.

The pair had helped their countries to advance to the Nations League final after victories against the likes of Germany and France, respectively.

They were impressive for their respective clubs last season as Ronaldo won the top scorer award in the Saudi top-flight league, while Yamal won both the LaLiga and Copa del Rey with Barcelona.

The Portugal versus Spain Nations League final will take place at the Allianz Arena, Munich.
