Co-convener of BringBackOurGirls Movement, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the withdrawal of two cases by the Federal Government against Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
In a post on her verified X handle on Thursday, the human rights activist said the injustice was not sustained.
DAILY POST reports that an Abuja High filed by the Federal Government against the lawmaker.
“One of the most fulfilling actions I took in 2025 was coming out to stand firmly with Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. I promised she will not walk alone and I stood by those words.
“It was rewarding being with her in court today as the Federal Government discontinued the two cases (that should never have been instituted) against her.
“Senator Natasha famously and defiantly stated last year that ‘This Injustice Shall Not Be Sustained’ Indeed the injustice was not sustained!
“It was so heartwarming to hear that on my birthday 12th of December the Federal Government decided to be honourable and send the letter of discontinuance even though it took over a month for the letter to be heard in court and the case struck out.
“I say a big thank you to Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan for fighting and waking up the courage in our Nation. Many have now seen that it is not okay to be silent in the face of injustice! And to her Husband High Chief Emmanuel OritsejolomiUduaghan the Alema of Warri Kingdom who has shown what true love and family support is truly about,” she wrote.
