Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has sworn in three newly appointed permanent secretaries, urging them to uphold the oath of office as their guiding principle in the discharge of their duties.

Governor Namadi made the appeal on Wednesday during the swearing-in of the permanent secretaries held at Government House in Dutse.

DAILY POST reported that the governor had approved the appointment of three additional permanent secretaries to fill existing vacancies in the state public service.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Dr Salisu Abdullahi, Ashiru Mohammed and Yunusa Usman.

According to the governor, their appointment was based on merit and commitment.
“I am therefore urging you to uphold your oaths of office and work diligently towards the collective goal of achieving a better and more prosperous Jigawa State,” he said.

He urged the newly appointed permanent secretaries to uphold their oaths of office and work towards the development of the state.

“The Oath of office is not a mere document or statement because we will all be accounted for in the hereafter. Therefore I am advising you to continue to remember the oath of office so that it will be a guiding principle of your responsibility.

“I am congratulating you and also sympathised with you looking at the contents of the oath of office you just received because no human being can bear the weight of the Oath of Office without Allah’s guidance,” Gov Namadi said.

The permanent secretaries’ portfolios are yet to be announced.
