“My Daughter Is a Zombie” appears to be on track to becoming the biggest box office hit of 2025!
According to the Korean Film Council, as of 8:05 p.m. KST on August 9, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” had recorded a total of 3,055,800 moviegoers. The figure is already the fifth-highest achieved by any film released in 2025.
Having reached the milestone in just 11 days, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” has now become the fastest film of 2025 to surpass 3 million moviegoers. The film managed to hit the 3 million mark one day faster than “ Pilot ,” the highest-grossing summer movie of 2024, while tying the speed of “ Smugglers ,” the highest-grossing summer movie of 2023.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “My Daughter Is a Zombie” is a heartfelt comedy about a devoted father who goes to extreme lengths to protect his daughter, who is the last surviving zombie on Earth. The film stars Jo Jung Suk , Cho Yeo Jeong , Lee Jung Eun , Choi Yu Ri , and more.
