A BODY has been discovered by a farmer amid the search for a mum-of-two reported missing a week ago.
confirmed that a woman’s body had been found in a field in Hassocks, West , on Sunday.


Rebecca Holdham, 38, vanished a week ago after leaving her home in Hassocks, sparking a massive search operation.
Rebecca’s heartbroken children returned to the home to find their mother missing.
The search saw a helicopter and dogs deployed to find the missing mother – combing the nearby fields and woodlands.
Rebecca, also known as Becky, was believed to have left Ockley Park estate on foot at around 10am.
Officers said she had links to Burgess Hill, Horsham, Worthing, and .
A short walk from where the 38-year-old mum was last seen a farmer discovered a woman’s body.
Police have now put up a tent in the field and have informed Rebecca’s family who are being supported by specialist officers.
Formal identification of the body is yet to take place with cops continuing their inquiries.
Police said enquiries are “ongoing to confirm the woman’s identity.”
Locals helped to spread “missing person” posters during the desperate search for the missing mother.
The posters described Becky as slim with shoulder length brown hair and a tattoo on her ankle.
Her friends and family called for a “large search group” to be put together to locate Becky.
