Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, has promised to return to his native Portugal “at the height”; of his career.

Mourinho stated this after they beat Portimonense 2-1 in a pre-season friendly.

The game was played in Albufeira, Portugal.

The 62-year-old has only one year left on his current contract with the Turkish giants.

Speaking with Sport TV, Mourinho insisted that a return will not be for “a golden retirement”;.

He said: “I’m definitely coming to Portugal. It hasn’t happened yet, but it will.

“Not because I feel like I’m nearing the end, I feel far from that.

“I don’t want to come to Portugal for a golden retirement or for the last years of my career. I want to come to Portugal at the height of my career, in good health and physically and mentally strong. I’ll definitely be back.”;
