CHELSEA fans have been left in the dark after their own stream crashed during a pre-season friendly.

Xabi Alonso’s Blues are taking on Real Sociedad at Stamford Bridge as they look to nail down their best XI ahead of the season.

Morgan Rogers wasted no time in announcing himself in front of the home crowd as he bagged his first goal for the club inside ten minutes.

But fans’ celebrations were cut short as the stream cut out for thousands of users attempting to follow the action.

Instead of the match, they were shown a blue error message superimposed onto Reece James’ face.

The message read: “The stream information is temporarily unavailable due to an error.”

It is safe to say the developments were no well received by fans following along from home.

One fuming fan wrote: “Absolute state of this stream.”

While another added: “The stream is not WORKING! Paid for this match pass and now can’t even login.”

Fans wanting to watch the match on the club’s stream were required to either purchase a year’s CFC+ subscription, which costs £14.99, or buy a match pass for £9.99.
