It was the second worrying collision of the game after Jesse Derry was stretchered off in the first half.
Gibbs-White, who only came on as a sub at half time, had to be subbed off for Chris Wood in the 66th minute after taking a bad blow.
The player uploaded a picture showing off his awful injuries, with stitches running down from his forehead to the top of his nose.
Gibbs-White appeared upbeat by holding a thumbs up as his caption read: “Thanks for the messages, what a win congrats T @awoniyi18.”
His manager Vitor Pereira said the playmaker would likely play in their huge Europa League semi-final clash against Aston Villa on Thursday despite the blow.
He said: “No, no. I think not. I had a conversation with him, he is speaking normally, he remembers everything..
“The only thing is to look for the face and the pain. Gibbs White has a deep cut, but he is a fighter, he has a strong mentality.
“I hope our medical department can do magic to put him in condition because he is important for us, a very important player for us.”

His rival Sanchez also had be withdrawn from the action after his injury blow as Filip Jorgensen replaced him in goal.
The incident led to a lengthy delay before Forest went on to secure a huge result in west London.
Forest were much changed after eight alterations to the team ahead of their Europa League semi-final clash.
And they found themselves 1-0 up in the opening two minutes thanks to Taiwo Awoniyi’s header.
Igor Jesus made it two from the spot after a shirt pull by Malo Gusto before Cole Palmer missed his own spot kick to pull one back.
Awoniyi then grabbed a third after the break before Joao Pedro scored a consolation with a thumping overhead kick.
