The Ferrari star fumed at his team as he was heard barking over the radio: “I’m not even going to take the f***ing blame. These f***ing brakes!”
The race was then red flagged as officials investigated the tarmac after the track looked to be breaking up.
It came after four-time world champion Max Verstappen was forced to retire at the beginning of the race due to an engine issue.
It was a nightmare start in the French Riviera as his car stalled and he barely made it off the grid.
When asked what his plans were after the major setback, Verstappen replied: “It’s only 500 meters, I’m going home.”
