The sound of the Taser can be heard as the suspect appears to resist, while a police dog barks. An officer instructs the suspect, “Give me your hands now,” while another shouts, “Get the cuffs!”

Viorel, a 42-year-old taxi driver who filmed the incident, reported that prior to the arrest, the man was shouting “Kill me, kill me, kill me” at the officers.

Viorel stated, “I arrived at the station pick-up point at 7:41 PM and was waiting for a passenger. Just a few minutes later, I saw everyone running out of the station.”

“Then, ten seconds later, a man dressed in black holding a large kitchen knife ran past my car at 7:47 PM. The police arrived moments later, and I could hear him yelling, ‘Kill me, kill me, kill me.’”

“They then Tasered him, and as soon as he was down, they commanded him to ‘drop your weapon’. That’s when I began recording. I didn’t grasp the seriousness of the situation until I left the area and saw the significant police presence. I was shocked and realized it was severe.”

It comes as…

  • The train involved was the 6:25 PM service from Doncaster to London King’s Cross, which stopped at Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
  • Two men, aged 32 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the attack.
  • Ten people were injured, with two reported to be in critical condition.
  • Counter-terrorism police are assisting with the investigation.
  • Witnesses described passengers screaming and others hiding.
  • Defence Secretary John Healey stated the initial assessment indicates it was an “isolated attack.”

It was reported by BTP Superintendent John Loveless during a briefing on Sunday morning that two British-born men, aged 32 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently being questioned at separate police stations.

He added that two individuals remain in critical condition in the hospital, while four others have been released.

The incident occurred on the LNER service from Doncaster to London on Saturday evening.

After stopping at Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, a little over an hour into the journey at just before 7:30 PM, multiple stabbings occurred, prompting an emergency stop at Huntingdon around 22 miles down the line at just before 7:45 PM.

A man with a large knife is believed to have been subsequently subdued with a Taser by officers, with the incident described this morning as an “isolated attack” by Defence Secretary John Healey.

Witnesses on the train, which remains at the station as part of the crime scene, recounted how passengers were trampled and hid in the toilets while the sounds of victims were heard amid the chaos.

One witness initially thought it was a Halloween prank before realizing the severity of the situation, as they became covered in blood.

More than 30 armed officers were dispatched to the station, and a “major incident” was declared before two arrests were made.

Counter-terrorism officers were later confirmed to be involved in the ongoing investigation.

A tenth person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police declared “Plato,” the national code word used by police and emergency services when responding to a “marauding terror attack,” before later rescinding the declaration.
