A MOM has been accused of attempting to murder her 8-week-old daughter after allegedly saying she wanted “to shake her to death.”
Shannon McNease also allegedly told a pal in a chilling Facebook chat “I can’t stand her dude” before her badly injured baby was rushed to hospital with a brain bleed.

While at Mary Bridge Hospital, it was discovered the child was suffering from a brain bleed and multiple fractures, said Bremerton Police Officers in Washington
The baby’s dad took her to the Virginia Mason Franciscan Emergency Room in Bremerton, Washington, on August 7, said police.
The infant had been suffering from diarrhea and projectile vomiting.
“During the medical examination, medical staff identified suspicious injuries and transferred the infant to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital for additional treatment,” added Bremerton Police Officers.
While she was being examined at Mary Bridge, it was discovered the child was suffering from a brain bleed.
The force alleged in a Facebook post, “The brain bleed was consistent with shaking an infant.”
The baby also had multiple fractures in various stages of healing “indicating non-accidental trauma,” alleged the cops.
The fractures included 20 rib fractures and six metaphyseal fractures
The force’s general investigations unit began investigating the severe injuries.
The team interviewed “all involved with the care of the infant, including the infant’s mother, Shannon McNease.
“It was determined the injuries most likely occurred while the infant was in the care of her mother.”
KIRO reported, citing court documents, that the girl had injuries to her legs as well.
“Children’s ribs are flexible and difficult to fracture… the presence of multiple rib fractures is strongly suggestive of child abuse,” said a doctor who examined the baby.
“Metaphyseal fractures do not occur with routine care and handling of an infant,” the doctor added.
FACEBOOK RANT
The force said that during the probe, cops allegedly discovered that “McNease had an online conversation with a friend revealing homicidal intent toward the infant.”
The court filings alleged that during a Facebook exchange with a friend, the mom, 27, said of her infant, “She’s back on her BS again.
“I can’t stand her dude.”
The court documents further alleged that McNease wrote, “Like I legit want to shake her to death or throw her on top of the floor so hard she dies.
“Only when she’s crying and screaming though, which I guess is almost pretty much all the time at this point.
“Her cries make me feel like I’m gonna snap and murder.”
The court filings alleged that in another message to the same person she said, “It’s not like I hate her.
“I’d die for her dude. But the stress is eating my f***ing sanity to bits. Faster and faster every day.”
ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE
The police statement said the infant survived her multiple injuries and is currently in the care of family members.
It added, “The case was presented to the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office who filed charges of attempted murder in the first degree and assault of a child in the first degree and an arrest warrant was issued on September 3, 2025.
“On September 4, 2025, McNease was arrested in the Shelton area by the Mason County Sheriffs Office and was booked into the Kitsap County Jail on her warrant.”
BLAMED CAT
Both McNease and the infant’s dad have denied accusations of child abuse, reported the Daily Mail .
The couple allegedly blamed the girl’s injuries on two sources: the family’s cat, and an incident when the baby was claimed to have been accidentally dropped.
They allegedly said the cat had jumped on the girl, injuring her.
