A DAD who lives as a modern caveman with a full working kitchen inside a rock home is being evicted from his dream dwelling.
Ali Bozoglan, 55, has been living in a hillside cave in the Yaylica area of Samandag District in Hatay Province, Turkey, since the deadly 2023 quake.

Ali, whose home was destroyed in the disaster that killed more than 55,000 people across Turkey and in neighbouring Syria, said he found peace living in the cave far from others after the tragedy.
He told local media that he moved into the cave two and a half years ago after his house in the Cekmece neighbourhood was levelled in the earthquake.
His dream dwelling has a full working kitchen with all the facilities – and the dad of three has been dubbed a modern caveman.
Ali said: “After the earthquake, I stayed in a few places. When I couldn’t pitch my tent, I settled in the cave.
“I arranged my belongings, I cooked, I washed my clothes, and I carried my water from outside.”
Photos showed how he had fitted the cave with modern appliances like a sink, fridge, a camping gas cooker and even makeshift kitchen cabinets.
The Hatay Governor’s Office later provided him with a container home and furnishings after learning of his situation.
Ali said he spent cold winters in the container and returned to the cave in the summer to stay cool.
However, municipal police from Samandag have now served him with documents ordering him to vacate the cave.
He said: “They inspected the area and said they would help me move my belongings. I don’t have the means to move them myself, but God willing, we will evacuate the cave.”
While Ali accepted his fate, he said he was saddened to leave the place where he had found peace.
He explained, “I was more at peace in the cave. There’s air and oxygen in the cave. The only thing I needed was electricity.”
He did not even mind the presence of snakes and rats. On one occasion, he said: “I found a snake in my bed.
“I grabbed the sheet and grabbed the snake. I told it, ‘Go and be blessed’ and it left.”
Ali said he would continue his life in the container provided by the Hatay Governor’s Office, thanking officials for their help.
He added: “Those who believe in God fear nothing.”
