COPS have launched a frantic search for a missing 82-year-old man.

David Meech was last seen in the Shirley area of Southampton around 1pm today and police are concerned for his welfare.

He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of average build, and has a shaved head.

David is believed to be wearing a black hat and a brown jacket.

Police have released two photographs of David, one of which appears to show the jacket he was last seen wearing.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “We are concerned for his welfare and are asking anyone who sees him to contact police immediately.”

Officers are urging the public to call 999 if they see David.

They should quote incident number 44260077815 when contacting police.
