Missing BUK Student Resurfaces Alive After Four-Year Absence

A student from Bayero University, Kano (BUK), named Shafiu Auwal Ibrahim, has been found alive, four years after being reported missing.

Shafiu, who lived in the Janbulo area of Kano, was declared missing in 2021, prompting an extensive search by his family and friends.

According to family sources, the missing student was located in Kaduna State, where he had been living under the care of an Islamic scholar.

“He was discovered in a village in Kaduna with a cleric who stated that he took him in years ago when he seemed to be mentally unstable,” a relative shared.

The family expressed their gratitude to God for Shafiu’s safe return after years of uncertainty, noting that he has been reunited with them and is currently in stable condition.
