MIRCEA LUCESCU has died just five days after stepping down as Romania manager.
The veteran coach, 80, resigned on April 2 after collapsing during a training session.

Severe heart problems left him in a critical condition and he has now passed away after failing to recover in hospital.
One of his former clubs, Galatasaray, led the tributes on social media.
Their heartfelt statement read: “We are deeply saddened to hear the passing of Mircea Lucescu, the winning manager of our UEFA Super Cup and 15th Turkish league titles.
“Rest in peace Luce, we will never forget you.”
