Consumers are advised not to consume certain batches of Shallow Brandy Mince Pies from the Bakewell Bakery, as they contain milk that is not disclosed on the label.

According to an FSA recall notice issued on Tuesday, December 23, this lack of information poses a health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk products.

The affected batches are six-packs with the following best before dates: February 2, 2026, February 3, 2026, February 4, 2026, and February 5, 2026.

While the FSA advises consumers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk products not to consume these pies, it has also recommended that the brand reach out to relevant allergy support organizations to inform their members.

A separate notice from The Bakewell Bakery states: “We have identified that the product has been labeled incorrectly.

“Allergen information is missing. The product contains milk that is not declared as an ingredient. This may pose a risk to customers.”

The bakery has also expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused and thanked affected customers for their understanding.

Consumers who have purchased the affected product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk products are advised to return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

No receipt is necessary for this refund process.
