THE Afghan migrant accused of killing a British woman in Greece allegedly texted his wife pretending to be a jihadist after committing the brutal murder.
Using a burner phone,sent messages claiming to have killed Elisabeth-Jane Ross, 38, it is alleged.

Elisabeth was discovered stuffed in a suitcase in an abandoned building in Athens on July 18, three days after she first went missing on July 15.
After allegedly murdering Elisabeth, Ahmadzai is accused of texting her friends and family before switching off the device.
He is then said to have brought another phone and texted his wife, Alaina Hall, Elisabeth’s friends and even himself.
In a sick attempt to cover his tracks he pretended to be an unnamed jihadist who killed the Scottish national because she was trying to convert people to Christianity, Greek news outlet Proto Thema reports.

Ahmadzai fled Afghanistan in 2016 after his entire family were wiped out by the Taliban.
He reportedly paid smugglers to bring him to Britain, but later crossed through Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey before eventually settling in Greece.
After converting to Christianity in 2017 he met his wife Alaina, from Georgia in the US, and they married in 2023.
suggested that he visited Elisabeth’s apartment on the night of her disappearance.
She said she woke up in the early hours of July 15 to find him missing – and when she traced his location using Find My Friends it showed him at her apartment.
George Kalliakmanis, an ex-cop who heads the police union in Athens, told The Sun: “He went to the flat where she was staying for a reason.
“What was it? Nothing can be ruled out. Did she reject him? Nothing can be ruled out.”
Elisabeth reportedly met Ahmadzai and his wife Alaina while volunteering for a refugee charity.

The flat she was staying in was provided for her by the pair’s NGO – meaning that Ahmadzai had a key to get in.
Another source, well briefed on the investigation, told the Sun:
“He has not confessed to the murder but the evidence is there.
“It can’t be excluded that he had feelings for Ross who rejected him.”
Greek Police previously revealed that the Afghan migrant confessed to dumping the body and stealing Elisabeth’s bank cards.
But Ahmadzai insisted that the Scotswoman was already dead when he went to visit her at her apartment.
Her body was later discovered by a homeless man in a derelict building in Kypseli across the road from the Panellinios Boxing club – the gym where boxer Ahmadzai trained.

Ahmadzai had posted a selfie on his Instagram account in May wearing the same shorts as the man in the CCTV.

His wife Alaina – with whom he shares a young child – also raised suspicions with police after receiving a series of flashy gifts.
Ahmadzai had given her 2,550 euros (£2,200) and a new 17 Pro which Alaina feared may have been purchased using Elisabeth’s stolen bank cards.
Senior pastors from her former church Destiny Church in Edinburgh, paid tribute to Elisabeth and her “unstoppable passion to help those less fortunate.”
“This passion and deep sense of calling sometimes took her to challenging places”, a statement read.
“Lisa was determined not to leave this world the same way she found it.”
Ahmadzai has been , robbery and illegal possession of a weapon. He is due to appear before a judge in Athens on Wednesday.
