The offer comes after Tommy shares his concerns about former BFF Joel returning to Walford after being released from a young offender’s institution.

It was Tommy reporting Joel’s attack on Vicki to the police that led the misogynistic teen to be punished for his behaviour, but Tommy tells Zoe: “He’s going to call me a let-down. Blame getting locked up on soft guys like me being a pushover.”

Zoe’s offer to leave Walford for a bit is music to Tommy’s ears, but their departure is only temporary.
