MANCHESTER UNITED caretaker manager Michael Carrick and his son Jacey were at the heart of a funny misunderstanding at Everton.

Michael, 44, extended his undefeated run as interim boss to six matches, of which he won five, after United thanks to Benjamin Sesko’s winner at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Jacey, 15, who is following in his father’s footsteps as he plays for ‘s Under-18s, went to Merseyside to watch his dad in action.

According to Manchester Evening News , Carrick Jr waited for the legendary midfielder to come out and meet him after the game in a designated area.

However, a security guard, who didn’t recognise him, approached him and asked if he had the credentials to stand in the area.

Jacey responded: “I’m with .”

According to The Mail , the confused security guard kindly removed the teenager until the funny misunderstanding was sorted.

And so the young midfielder was allowed back in to meet his father.
