MICAH RICHARDS has revealed how Mo Salah still owes him cash from nearly a decade ago.

Richards’ path crossed with the “Egyptian King” when the duo both wore shirts for the 2014/15 season.

Richards called his home for the majority of his career – claiming a historic Premier League title and making 245 appearances along the way.

But in 2014, the international had a brief stint on loan at the Serie A side where Salah was a loanee from .

Speaking to SPORTbible, BBC pundit Richards said: “He (Salah) was the best ever.

“In training he was the best. I was essentially his chauffeur, he didn’t drive when he was out in Florence.

“I dropped him off at training once and he said to me, ‘I’ll see you tomorrow at 9 o’clock’.

“I was like, ‘What do you mean, you know you can get a taxi?’.

“Literally, the training ground was 10 minutes away.

“From there I picked him up every single morning. He owes me some money!

“That time was just amazing.”

Salah – who just bowed out of a nine-year spell at Anfield – scored nine goals with four assists in 26 appearances for Fiorentina after penning a temporary deal.

Richards added: “I was on loan from Man City and I was sort of at the end there and he’d come from Chelsea where it’s not worked out for him and we were just enjoying it without the added pressure.

“And that side of Mo was just great.”

While Richards is at the helm of punditry, Salah is leading into the 2026 World Cup after advancing through the group-stage behind .
