MEXICO boss Javier Aguirre has revealed his exact plan to stop Harry Kane from saving England as he did against DR Congo.

But he will do well to form any plan that can foil the Three Lions’ , who has notched 72 goals this season for club and country.

Kane, 32, bagged a second half brace to seal the on Wednesday.

Aware of England’s main threat, a journalist posed a simple question to Aguirre in his pre-match press conference.

He answered: “ is a world star. The goals he has scored with Bayern Munich, he is a top, top, top player in the world.

“More than 6ft tall, he can defend, and he is the captain of the team.

“We will try to neutralise him with our defensive midfielders and keep him uncomfortable on the pitch so that he cannot be involved in the build-up.”

That might tactically be how Aguirre and Mexico plan to stop , but the coach has made multiple other moves to instill a top-level mentality into his players.

One of those is hiring a former Mexico player as the team psychologist, and another is to take the players’ mobile phones away from them at meal times.

, 67, added: “We do have a mentality coach, someone who was a Mexican professional footballer.

“He is doing a great job with the team, the players are very reassured, and I am very happy with their mindset.

“The best thing I have done is take the players’ phones from them when we are eating.

“Some players didn’t want to join the team before, but now everyone in this group wants to be here, and we are very proud to wear the Mexico badge.

“If I didn’t believe that we could beat , then I would tell you, but I believe we are on par and the team that makes the least mistakes will win.”
