AT LEAST two people have been killed after a medical helicopter with five on board crashed into the ocean.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department declared a major incident after the medevac chopper crashed off the coast of Catalina Island at around 7:53pm on Wednesday.

“Four victims have been recovered from the water with search and rescue operations ongoing for a fifth victim who was reported in the aircraft,” the department said.
“Two of the recovered victims have been transported to hospitals on the mainland, and two victims have been pronounced deceased at scene.”
A search for the missing person continues with the US Coast Guard, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Avalon Fire all in attendance.
