MAURA Higgins appeared to adopt an American accent in a brand new video captured from the red carpet of the BAFTA Awards.
The star has been on a mission to launch a US-based career this year and has gone down a storm on the Stateside edition of .

It has seen the former Love Islander’s profile rise in the country massively – having previously only been known in America for her original appearance as well as hosting on the US version’s Aftersun spin-off show.
But it seems that after spending a lot of time in the States to promote the show, she now appears to have adopted some of the accent.
In a moment from this year’s red carpet, Maura can be heard interacting with a fan in which she appears to drop her Irish accent in favour of an American one.
Maura says: “Hi, I’m good, nice to see you!”
When the fan compliments her look, Maura appears to adopt an American tone as she replies back: “Thank you so much.”
Maura’s appearance on The Traitors follows fellow former Love Islander, Ekin-Su, who also launched her career in America on the programme.
Ekin went on to follow it up by promoting her debut book in the country as well as being interviewed on late night chat shows.
She then managed to land another US TV show in the form of Inside USA.
Maura will be hoping to do the same and has already seen herself invited to huge US events including the Golden Globes as her fame continues to skyrocket.
Maura’s who suffered a reputation wobble when she was spotted kissing married star at the Brit Awards – months after they both won over the nation on ‘s I’m A Celebrity.
A source said: “When the Traitors came knocking, she knew it could turn things around for her. Maura jumped straight into action. She was a woman who had something to prove.”
After filming wrapped on the US series at in last June, Maura walked away feeling confident that she had smashed it, according to pals.
She has now signed up with top-tier agency Align PR, whose clients include and stars and Bryce Dallas Howard.
So when she flew to America last month for The Traitors US launch, she wasn’t just turning up. She had a game plan.
While millions of Americans tuned in and got hooked on the twists, the drama and on Maura herself, she made sure she was seen everywhere wearing knockout outfits, hobnobbing with celebs.
And it worked. She has enjoyed non-stop exposure in America, where everyone is just as obsessed with The Traitors as we are here.
Traitors US began on January 8 and attracted 638million viewing minutes — a streaming record for the show, now on its fourth series.
Days later, Maura — aware that timing is everything — hit the red carpet at the in Beverly Hills wearing a £2,200 black off-the-shoulder dress by Egyptian designer Marmar Halim.
