A MARRIED basketball coach at an Alabama high school was arrested for having “deviant sexual intercourse” with a student.
Paige Adams, 35, was indicted by a grand jury on more than 30 sex crimes – weeks after resigning from her role at Cold Springs High School.

She is accused of asking a student to send her obscene material depicting sexual activity and having sexual contact with a student.
The charges include “engaging in a sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student.”
It was not immediately clear how old the student was at the time of the alleged crimes.
Adams’ husband, Drew – who is the boys basketball coach at the same high school – filed for divorce on April 6, two weeks before she was arrested.
The couple had been married since 2015 and have one child together – a son named Parker.
Following the dramatic bust, Drew has requested he be given sole custody.
Adams resigned from Cold Springs following a shocking complaint sent to the school last month.
Cullman County Schools Superintendent Shane Barnette had previously praised the coach as “a great role model for the young people of Cullman County.”
She said about the complaint against Adams: “This was the first formal complaint I have received regarding this employee.
“As soon as it was brought forward, an investigation was immediately initiated. The employee chose to resign at that time.”
Cullman County District Attorney Champ Crocker told CBS 42 on Tuesday that the charges could see Adams facing 31 years behind bars.
“This 32-count grand jury indictment speaks for itself,” he stressed.
In 2017, the coach left Holly Pond High School, another school in the same district, after just one season, 1819 News reported.
The reason for her departure was not specified at the time.
“It was definitely hard,” Adams said after her resignation. “I prayed about it a lot, and I felt like God was leading me in a different direction that I plan on pursuing.
“You have to do what’s best for you and your family sometimes.”
She was released from jail after posting a $225,000 bond but is forced to wear an electronic tag.
