MANUEL NEUER had a moment to forget just seconds into Bayern Munich’s Champions League showdown with Real Madrid – leading to fierce criticism on social media.
The German giants went into the second leg of their quarter-final in the driving seat after notching a 2-1 win at the Bernabeu.

But Bayern’s slender lead was cancelled out just 35 seconds into the return clash – with Arda Guler netting from long range.
Neuer, 40, was guilty of an absolute howler when his misplaced pass into midfield left the goal gaping.
And Guler made no mistake, sending a clinical curling effort into the back of the net with the Bayern keeper stranded on the edge of the penalty area.
Fans raced onto social media to blast Neuer for handing Real Madrid a route back into the contest.
