A MANHUNT has been initiated for a prisoner serving 23 years for attempted murder who has escaped from jail.

Officers from Cheshire Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating Kieran Cameron, who was reported missing from HMP Thorn Cross in Warrington at 9:20 PM on Tuesday.

Cameron, who is serving time for an attempted murder committed in Dorset in 2016, is described as white, approximately 5’ 6” tall, of medium build, with significantly receding hair, and a ginger and grey beard.

He has known extensive connections to Manchester, Liverpool, and Dorset.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Henderson, of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit at Cheshire Police, stated:

“We are requesting the public's help to locate Kieran Cameron, who is unlawfully at large after leaving HMP Thorn Cross in Warrington. If you see him, do not approach; call 999 immediately.
