Man Utd Chief Sparks Speculation: Marcus Rashford Poised to Stay After 20-Month Absence in Ipswich Program Return!

MANCHESTER UNITED chief Omar Berrada has all but confirmed that Marcus Rashford will stay at the club.

Rashford made his first appearance for United since December 12, 2024 in the 2-0 defeat at last week after loan spells with and .

Barca passed on their option to buy Rashford for £26million and instead signed his teammate and fellow left winger for £69.3m.

United have been unable to find a buyer for Rashford, who is their highest earner on £325,000 a week, and are all but certain to be saddled with the England forward until the winter transfer window, at the earliest.

Rashford was ostracised by former United coach and put in the ‘bomb squad’ last summer as he trained away from the first team squad.

But with Amorim long gone and Rashford’s former teammate now in charge, Berrada struck a diplomatic tone ahead of United’a first home game of the new season against .

In his programme notes, Berrada wrote: “We will have our new signings Andrey (Santos), Youri (Tielemans), Karl (Darlow), Tynan (Thompson) and Carlos (Baleba) here this afternoon.

“We know you will give them all a very warm welcome and get behind them as they begin their journey.

“We’re also very pleased to welcome Marcus back to the team. We believe that they will all help to improve the squad as we compete on multiple fronts.

“We have an exciting season ahead and are particularly looking forward to competing once again in the , in which we have had so many memorable nights in this great stadium. It is where we always want to be.”

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday and there are currently no realistic takers for Rashford.

Berrada did not address the treatment of supporters amid the much-criticised ticket-touting clampdown United initiated in the close season.

Numerous season-ticket holders have been banned for a year for alleged touting, with many adamant there was no wrongdoing.
