LISANDRO MARTINEZ’s World Cup final came to a heartbreaking end as he limped off injured before half-time.
The Argentina star went down in the 43rd minute and gestured to his leg being the problem.

Martinez, 28, was checked on by goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who suggested that he may need to come off.
The Manchester United defender was checked on by the medical staff, who judged that he could not continue.
Martinez was able to walk off the pitch as boss Lionel Scaloni sent on former Manchester City ace Nicolas Otamendi in his place.
Martinez appeared upset with the injury as he took a seat in the Argentina dugout.
The defender would have to watch on as Argentina played out the rest of the World Cup final against Spain without him.
He had already made one enormous contribution in the match with an important touch on a Lamine Yamal shot.
The Barcelona star looked set to roll the ball into the far corner but the defender’s touch was able to put it into the gloves of the goalkeeper.
