MANCHESTER CITY continue their pursuit of the top four when they host the league’s in-form side, Wolves in a Friday night game.
City have a chance to close the gap to second place Arsenal to just three points with a win and arrive here in really good form.
Man City vs Wolves preview
The form table puts these two teams as the top two across the last six games â with Wolves TOP.
They’ve won a terrific six games in a row to propel themselves from relegation candidates up to 13th in the table and above Manchester United.
It’s been a largely underappreciated spell of form, likely because the run includes Ipswich, Leicester, Southampton, West Ham and Tottenham â all bottom five clubs.
But they did win their last away game too which was a visit to Manchester when beating United â who had rested players for European games on the horizon.
Nevertheless, you can only beat what is in front of you and they should arrive full of confidence.
City are doing what they do every campaign and finishing like a train in the latter stages.
Unfortunately for them, that doesn’t mean a league run-in or Champions League hunt this year after that dramatic dip in the middle of the season. Though they did win comfortably at Wembley last week to seal an FA Cup final spot.
Pep Guardiola’s side have won six and drawn two of their last eight games and doing so by rotating the squad and without their two best players in Rodri and Erling Haaland.
They’ve won all of the last four home games with Wolves and scored 18 goals in the process...

Yellow warning
Only Joao Neves has more yellow cards in the league than Nelson Semedo for Wolves this season.
His position at right back here is set to be tested, whether it’s Jack Grealish or Jeremy Doku given the nod from the start.
A huge 43 fouls committed and seven yellows in his 30 appearances this season and the value here is really quite good.
- Nelson Semedo to be carded at 4/1 with William Hill â CLAIM HERE
Cloud 9
After his Wembley goal last week, Rico Lewis will come into this flying high you’d think.
Given the nod again by Guardiola after struggling displays during club’s difficult run and seems to be repaying boss.
Can find the target again.
