“We have arrested a 58-year-old man on suspicion of the murder of a man and a woman, and he remains in custody at this time.

“It has been established that the suspect and victims were known to each other and we are not looking for anyone else at this stage in connection with this.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area while we complete enquiries.

“We would urge anyone with relevant information, such as CCTV, doorbell, mobile phone or dashcam footage, to report online or phone 101, quoting Operation Newington.”
