MANCHESTER UNITED have scheduled meetings this week to discuss outgoings in the summer transfer window.

United officials intend to provide clarity on certain players’ futures to pave the way for smooth departures.

United require £18.9million to avoid a loss on Onana, who is on a season-long loan at Turkish club Trabzonspor, under the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.

The cost of signings within the last five years is spread over the length of their contracts and United bought Onana for £47.2m from in 2023 on a five-year deal.

Trabzonspor have expressed interest in signing Onana, 30, permanently.

United could struggle to secure the £21.9m needed for Zirkzee, who has not started a match since December.

The 24-year-old has scored one Premier League goal in the past year and managed just nine in 71 appearances for United.

An option could be to negotiate a season-long loan with an interested club, including an obligation to buy, as they have done with at .

Ugarte, 25, will be available for around £25m after two dismal seasons following his switch from .

United want to sign at least two central midfielders and the club hierarchy’s faith in Ugarte started to dwindle last summer.

Ugarte was then-manager Erik ten Hag’s third-choice defensive midfield target in the 2024 summer window.
