WOLVES’ Andre stopped Manchester United’s transfer rumour mill from turning after signing a new contract at Molineux.

With Wolves headed for the execution block and a ticket to the Championship already booked, it was thought that Andre, 24, would leap at the opportunity to join the Red Devils.

Andre joined from the Brazilian side Fluminense in a deal worth up to £21million and he’s stayed for the last two seasons – making 74 appearances.

While it was reported that £35m would be enough to lure him away, the ace is set to stay in the midlands until 2030.

Bruno Fernandes and former Wolves star also tipped him for the top.

But for the time being, he will be helping to rebuild the team in the .

Executive chairman Nathan Shi told club media: “Throughout every conversation, his desire to stay here has never wavered.

“He believes in this football club, he believes in what we are building together and he has full belief that we can realise our aim of achieving promotion back into the Premier League as soon as possible.”

Head coach added: “If your best players, the people that you want to keep around, are willing to stay and to fight, then it shows we’re serious.

André's 2025-26 Wolves statistics as a defensive midfielder, including 34 games, 1 goal, and 78 tackles.

“Continuity is important, but we want people who want to be here as well, and Andre is showing is a real commitment.”

Wolves will travel to Turf Moor to face relegated counterparts on the last day of the 2025/26 season.
