MANCHESTER UNITED and Tottenham are locked in a three-way battle to land Pierre Kalulu from Juventus.

The Red Devils and Spurs want to patch up their leaky defences in the transfer market.

And Italian media outlet Calciomercato report that both sides have set their sights on raiding Juventus for Kalulu.

Man Utd and Tottenham will have to lodge a bid in the region of £26million to stand a chance of winning the race for the centre-back, 25, in the summer.

But they are facing additional competition from shock Premier League title challengers Aston Villa.

Kalulu has become a sought-after asset after enjoying a stunning 18 months with Juventus.

The Frenchman, who made his international debut last June, headed to the Allianz Stadium from AC Milan for £17.3m.

And Juventus will be looking to make a big profit if they allow him to seal a switch to , Spurs or Villa.

The Serie A giants have conceded that they may have to let Kalulu and other key members of their squad quit if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Man Utd, Tottenham and Villa are waiting in the wings if it becomes clear that a deal could be on the cards.

Kalulu has also been a threat in the attacking third of the pitch this season – notching four assists and one goal in 28 appearances.

He was sensationally after wearing gloves on his AC Milan debut.

Although Man Utd are , he is on course to leave Old Trafford as a free agent in the summer.

That would leave the Red Devils short of options at the heart of their backline.

But Tottenham boss Thomas Frank, , and Villa chief Unai Emery are also eyeing a swoop.
