MASON GREENWOOD plans to stay put at Marseille despite interest from European clubs.

, and have all been linked with the 24-year-old.

But, despite the stinging recent criticism, — named in Ligue 1’s Team of the Year on Monday — insists he has no intention to leave.

Greenwood, speaking at the UNFP award ceremony in Paris, where he was also shortlisted for the Player of the Year gong, said: “This season has been difficult at times for us as a team, especially in the last few months.

“But, individually, I think I’ve had a good season. There are some incredible players in this Team of the Year, so it’s nice for me to get this award.

“Ligue 1 is an amazing league. We play some incredible games and, to my mind, it’s one of the best leagues I have played in.

“I hope I will be able to stay put here.”

Greenwood, who left in 2024, has scored 26 goals with ten assists in 44 Marseille matches this season.

The one-cap forward was shortlisted for the division’s top individual honour, having netted 16 league goals in France so far.

But the award went to , who retained the prize this season after helping his side to the brink of yet another French title — and a second final in a row.

The star, 28, who won the Ballon d’Or last year, has made only nine starts but still hit ten goals — 18 in all competitions — so got enough votes from his fellow pros to claim the accolade.

Greenwood’s form has alerted clubs across the continent, and his winner over struggling Le Havre last weekend kept alive their faint Euro hopes.

His contract with the French side, who are sixth in the domestic table, runs until June 2029.

Greenwood has revived his career after facing charges of attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour in 2022. They were later dropped.
