LOUIS VAN GAAL has admitted that he would be open to a fourth stint as Netherlands national team boss.
The former manager, 74, has not coached a team since stepping down as Dutch chief after the 2022 World Cup.

was battling prostate cancer at the time and appeared to announce his retirement.
Having last year declared , the charismatic Dutchman confessed that he would manage his national team again.
Per Dutch outlet De Telegraaf , Van Gaal said: “I always want to help the KNVB (Dutch FA), just as I wanted to do at .
“And with such a squad, there are of course possibilities.
“I also think that the Netherlands could potentially still become European or world champions, because 95 percent of the squad plays abroad and often at good clubs.”
Van Gaal added: “I have already been national coach three times, so if I ever do something as a trainer again, you probably shouldn’t look for it in the Netherlands. Although you never know with me.”
The Dutch job is vacant following ‘s departure in the wake of the World Cup.

Van Gaal’s previous three stints as boss came between 2000-2001, 2012-2014 and 2021-22.
He coached the Dutch to a third place finish at the 2014 World Cup, and to the quarter-finals in Qatar four years ago.
Following his side’s penalty shoot-out defeat to eventual winners , Van Gaal said at the time: “This was my very last match. My third term as a head coach.
“In that time I coached 20 matches but I didn’t lose a single one. I think it is Google you can look that up on. I am looking back on a fantastic period of time with a great group of players.
“I don’t think I’ve been beaten today, only in a penalty shout-out.
“I had a wonderful time and yes it is incredibly painful to see how we have been eliminated. Particularly as because I did everything to prevent this from happening.”
