⚽ Man Utd vs Liverpool preview
Both Manchester United and Liverpool should have Champions League football secured for next season.
But that won’t make this game any less fierce and competitive than usual – particularly as United chase a league double over Liverpool for the first time in a decade!
The sides renew hostilities this Sunday with United in third spot and three points ahead of Arne Slot’s men, knowing a win will go some way to having bragging rights over the Merseyside club.
A huge win on Monday night meant United moved 11 points clear of Brighton with four games remaining, meaning only an almighty collapse can prevent them returning to Europe’s top table again next year.
Incredibly, it was another goal for Casemiro too as the Brazilian midfielder looks to leave with a bang with four goals in his last six games.
For Liverpool, they look to be finishing the season well and with an eight point cushion to the Seagulls, should have enough to get in the Champions League spots.
That won’t have been the goal set out at the start of the season as Premier League champions but a turbulent campaign can at least finish with something to celebrate.
They’d lost their last four away from home prior to an injury time winner at Everton on their last away day and despite dominating this fixture at Old Trafford in recent times, will be more than motivated to prevent losing home and away to their biggest rivals.

League double
Manchester United have shown a bit of steel in the last couple of games after an iffy spell.
There’s no doubt they’re playing much better now than earlier in the season and in doing so, can seal the league double over Liverpool.
Arne Slot’s men have been pretty poor away from home in recent weeks prior to Merseyside derby victory. United can clinch UCL football here.
