Fans convinced Man Utd keeper Altay Bayindir CELEBRATED West Ham goal as footage emerges

MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has caused a social media storm after footage emerged of him apparently celebrating a goal that he had CONCEDED.

The game in question was United’s 2-0 home defeat by United last weekend.

United slumped to 16th in the league with their defeat

and got the goals that saw ‘s Hammers leapfrog the Red Devils into 15th in the Premier League table.

There was one particular moment in the game that keen-eyed fans spotted, when United keeper Bayindir appeared to celebrate ‘s second goal.

Bayindir, deputising in net in place of , was caught by the official West Ham account, with the club posting footage of Bowen’s second goal.

After , the former United right-back, had set up Bowen to stroke home the second, Bayindir turned to the stand behind him, fists clenched, and roared, almost as if he were celebrating.

The West Ham account captioned the incident: “Did the goalkeeper celebrate?”;;

In the comments section, fans were having a field day.

One said: “I thought this last night watching MOTD. Such an odd reaction.”;;

Another commented: “Either he’s frustrated, or he bet on United to lose”;;, while another tweeted: “Makes me think, does tells them to intentionally lose in the Premier league for the owners to buy him his players? Because why would he celebrate?”;;

United manager Amorim had rotated his side following their semi-final win over Athletic Bilbao in midweek.

However, the stand-ins did not take the opportunity they had been given to impress, with the Portuguese forced to turn to his bench early in the second half.

He brought on and in the 52nd minute to replace and , with the latter forced off injured.

Amorim said that he was unsure on the Frenchman’s condition and whether he would be available for the final against .

He then brought on January arrival and in immediate response to Bowen’s goal, but neither could provide the spark that United needed to get back into the game.
