SIR JIM RATCLIFFE’S entrances at Old Trafford are slightly different these days.
Ratcliffe is still driven as close to the Stretford End entrance as possible by his favoured firm, HR Carriages, walks through the tunnel, along the Sir Stand and up its stands.

But these days security is much more stringent. It was only after a minder gave the okay that Ratcliffe was escorted up the steps.
Two years ago, Ratcliffe could walk leisurely through the stadium, posing for selfies with early arrivals.
Yet the area Ratcliffe enters is right next to the rows of seats of season-ticket holders due to make way for more hospitality seating next season.
Given the grief Ratcliffe got from militant fans at last year for hiking ticket prices, the chances are he would cop another earful.
United fans have also aired harsh chants about Ratcliffe and his prompted some to unfurl a banner in support of United’s ‘immigrant’ players.
KAM DO
JAYDAN KAMASON signed a new contract with United last month and is eyeing a loan next season.
The 19-year-old right back and the plan is for him to secure a season-long loan in 2026-27.
Kamason is keen on playing in Europe, rather than settling for a Football League side.

SERB’S UP
UNITED missed Harry Maguire against Leeds.
And there was another defender in the stands they could have done with that night: Nemanja Vidic.
Vidic was in the directors’ box, where snooker legends and Dennis Taylor were hobnobbing with .
Taylor said afterwards that late United fan John Virgo’s company was sorely missed for the Reds’ first game after a big break.
SINGING SCOTS
FERGUSON sings along to the United anthem ‘Take Me Home’ just before kick-off.
And so does another Scot: .
The United Under 18 coach was sat nearer to the press box for the Leeds game, with not a spare seat in the directors’ box.
Fletcher was there with his wife Hayley and one of their twins Jack, who has featured three Premier League games this season – all under former head coach Ruben Amorim.
